A Sonnet! To Life
The course of a mans life is like a voyage down the
river of will.
Many a rapid is run as he floats downstream.
The rapids of hate, lust and self pity may topple him downward just as the soft caressing
rays of the sun may blind him, but he must trudge forward.
The oar is his only weapon and many a foolish stroke he will bestow to the multitudes he
is to encounter on his voyage homeward.
Although the journey is long he in the end returns to his beginning to wander once again
down that delightful stream called "life".
This time with a clearer mind, a heart full of wisdom and the memory of his fruitful past
only to learn the difference between right and wrong.
