Sunset

As I wipe the sweat from my brow, what a glorious sight my eyes do see as the southern sun turns blue sky to red and a fire dances across the sky.

A wisp of cloud floats softly by as the wind pushes it to its destiny.

How lovely it becomes as the rays of the sun changes its color to hues of
yellow and gold and beams of white and beige touch the ground

I watch in awe as the rays one by one enter my site through clouds of red
and white forming a pattern on the land.

The mountains of green finish this painting as the rays seem to bless this
land.

I wonder if God himself is touching my soul with such a beautiful sight.

I lay on the ground to relieve my tired bones so that I may watch as the world
passes into dark.

The trees seem to dance as the light fades away, A Wood Thrush sings its
song of life as the wind sings its accompaniment through boughs of Pine.

As the day turns to night, yellows fade to beige and the reds turn to browns as the light fades away.

The rays that blessed the land turn to dusk and shades of Grey mix with the
Pallet of reds and golds left in the sky.

A soft breeze soothes me as the last rays of light turn slowly into night.

The Crickets tell their story as the grass cools and the night claims this land
once again.

How blessed I was to witness this wondrous southern sunset.
